Impressive Anal-ytics
After Tayler informed me that she had not seen Tubgirl, Kids in the Sandbox, or Lemon Party we hit the internet in search of filth but what we discovered was actually pretty interesting.
Now, based on the previous sentence you might assume I'm going to link you to some horrendous depravity of the 'sexual' variety but unfortunately my wompian brothers I do not have that pleasure. What we've got here is the 'Insights' page of pornhub. It a surprisingly well put together blog about an impressively wide (gaping one might say) variety of analytics about porn and it's users from one of the biggest porn sites out there.
Now let this penetrate your eye holes.

"Paralyzing Fear of Mayonnaise"
I was laughing so hard during the last minute and a half of this video that I was drooling on myself. Holy fuck man. Maybe it was just the mood I was in or something but this the funniest shit I've seen in quite some time.

TheFatRat - Monody
It's like a mashup of Lord of the Rings, Mega Man, Kygo, Donkey Kong, and Enya. Or something. Catchy at hell.

Destroyer-Kaputt
Get yourself some nice listening time (Isaac perhaps your San Fran roadtrip, Mirek perhaps your next flight to see me) and let Destroyer speak to your soul through your earholes.

Bad science: dude pwn's the fuck out of the "diet research-media complex"
"They wanted me to help demonstrate just how easy it is to turn bad science into the big headlines behind diet fads. [We did it] gonzo style: reveal the corruption of the diet research-media complex by taking part."
Check out this wicked article about a dude who ran a BS study and convinced the world that "chocolate can help you lose weight faster."
He ran a real experiment - just with a small sample size, where he tested for a of different stuff (when you do this, and you're bound to get a "statistically significant result" by pure chance - the article does a good job explaining why).
He then got the findings published in a BS journal and blasted the media at large with the results - who at that shit up.
An epic exposition of a three pretty fucked industries: weight-loss science, the journalistic peer review system, and the media at large. It really resonated - take the time to real the whole thing. It's epic.

Why Every Movie Looks Sort of Orange and Blue
Check out this sweet article that explains Why Every Movie Looks Sort of Orange and Blue.
Relevant snippet that gets to the heart of the matter:
One way to figure out what will look good is to figure out what the common denominator is in the majority of your scenes. And it turns out that actors are in most scenes. And actors are usually human. And humans are orange, at least sort of!Pretty cool.
Most skin tones fall somewhere between pale peach and dark, dark brown, leaving them squarely in the orange segment of any color wheel. Blue and cyan are squarely on the opposite side of the wheel.
You may remember from preschool that “opposite” color pairs like this are also known as “complementary” colors. That means that, side-by-side, they produce greater contrast than either would with any other color. And when we’re talking about color, contrast is generally a desirable thing.
